Job description

Job Overview

Our Customer Success Department supports our customers in achieving their desired outcomes while having an outstanding experience. Our team is seeking a motivated, energetic and experienced Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators (PLFs).

This position will be primarily responsible for managing our Professional Learning Facilitators that consists of Independent Contractors and Full-time Professional Learning Facilitators in the Eastern part of the United States. The Manager will collaborate with several individuals and teams (Success Management, Internal Learning, Customer Support, Operations) to build an infrastructure for growth, as well as coach and manage the PLF team on new resources and skills including coaching/consultation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations working directly with the PLF team
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and lead PLF team to retain talent for future growth
  • Mentor and coach PLF team to ensure high-quality professional learning services are delivered
  • Support onboarding and ongoing internal professional learning
  • Collaborate with internal learning team regarding best practices, support, training delivery, materials, etc.
  • Foster and inspire a customer-centric focus among team members
  • Foster a culture to amplify the voice and needs of the PLF team
  • Deliver professional learning sessions as needed during high-demand times of year
  • Collaborate with Directors to create and execute a comprehensive system of support for PLF team
  • Consult as needed with other department stakeholders (Sales, Bids & Contracts, Marketing)
  • Regularly communicate work status and issues to supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in special projects

Job Requirements

  • Masters degree in literacy, special education, curriculum and instruction, education administration, school psychology, or comparable; doctorate degree preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency with educational concepts (i.e. instructional design, data-driven instruction, effective literacy teaching practices, personalized and blended learning, e-learning)
  • At least 3+ years of recent experience managing a remote team
  • At least three years of experience in supporting teachers (reading coach, administrator, etc.)
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Superior in-person and online facilitation, engagement, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional ability to engage and motivate educators in large and small group professional learning settings
  • Familiarity with andragogy and best practices for both online and in-person professional learning
  • Ability to travel as needed based on business needs, including some weekends, to deliver or monitor professional learning by the Professional Learning Facilitator team to ensure high-quality standards are met
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to customers and co-workers
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use sound judgment, problem solve, answer questions and evaluate performance in a realistic way
  • Proficiency using technology, especially PowerPoint, Zoom, and Microsoft Office suites of products
  • Flexibility, integrity, agility, and strategic insight
  • Maturity, discretion, sense of humor, and good judgment
  • Reside in close proximity to a major airport preferred
