General Counsel

Job Summary: 

As General Counsel, you will serve as the chief legal officer of the company, providing strategic legal advice and guidance to the executive team and board of directors. This role involves overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice to the executive team and board of directors on a wide range of legal issues.
• Oversee the company's legal department, including managing internal and external legal resources.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including corporate governance, securities, employment, and intellectual property laws.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, including working with external counsel.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the company's interests and mitigate risks.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and provide proactive advice on potential impacts.
• Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide legal support for business initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, with significant experience in a leadership role preferred 
• Strong knowledge of corporate, securities, employment, and intellectual property law with experience in Pharmacy, CDMO and Manufacturing Compliance preferred
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic legal advice.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:  

         Experience in corporate, securities, employment, and intellectual property law with experience in Pharmacy,                                                               CDMO and Manufacturing Compliance preferred
