Job description

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where innovation and problem-solving drive success? At V2, we’re passionate about accelerating our clients' growth by transforming their operations with cutting-edge Salesforce solutions. Our diverse team of world-class consultants, business analysts, and developers work seamlessly to tackle challenges across people, process, technology, and data—empowering organizations to achieve their goals in the ever-evolving Salesforce ecosystem.

We are seeking a Director of Salesforce Development to join our growing team. As the Director of Salesforce Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our Salesforce engagements, ensuring the delivery of world-class solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. You will lead architectural discussions, oversee development teams, and provide strategic guidance to both internal teams and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, strong leadership skills, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management and oversight of the developer team, focusing on project-based work, skill development, and personal growth.
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and data-driven decision-making to address project issues proactively.
  • Monitor team activities and escalate potential challenges to senior leadership as needed.
  • Prevent unnecessary distractions for senior leadership by resolving low-value work items independently.
  • Drive architectural discussions to assess, design, and plan for Salesforce engagements involving development and highly technical aspects across multiple Salesforce clouds.
  • Develop deep expertise in the Salesforce platform and related technologies to advise clients and internal teams on strategic decisions.
  • Evangelize best practices and innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges using the Salesforce platform.
  • Capture and maintain intellectual property (IP) developed on client and internal projects in the company’s asset repositories.
  • Provide in-depth Salesforce platform support across design, configuration, and implementation stages of programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping architectural visions and establishing program direction.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and drive consensus around technical designs.
  • Lead the design, configuration, build, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and security models.
  • Map out data migrations and collaborate with teams to migrate data using advanced tools like Salesforce Data Loader.
  • Present solutions to clients through formal and informal presentations, including conference room pilots and training sessions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management of code and integration builds, ensuring alignment with best practices and client expectations.
  • Contribute to high-quality code delivery through CI/CD, test automation, and code repositories.
  • Mentor and coach development team members to improve processes, coding standards, and technical capabilities.
  • Build integration capabilities between Salesforce and other systems using middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO-Scribe) and code-based solutions (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components).
  • Lead complex data-related activities, including data cleansing, mapping, transformations, and uploads, while ensuring data architecture and system performance best practices.
  • Act as a technical consultant for enterprise-level client engagements, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Leverage company systems, tools, and processes to ensure high-quality solution designs and implementations.
  • Create and oversee action items for clients and internal teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Build professional skills in meeting management, conflict resolution, presentations, and project governance.

  • Role Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Salesforce platform architecture, development, and integration, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
  • Deep knowledge of various Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing Clouds to name a few), Apex, Lightning Web Components, middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft), and data migration tools (e.g., Salesforce Data Loader).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing developer teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • A creative and analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect are highly desirable.
