Job description

This is a remote position.

The Client leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

The Process Improvement Office (PIO) supports the Ministry of Health by streamlining processes and improving efficiencies in health systems across Manitoba. The PIO works collaboratively with the Department and Service Delivery Organizations as well as educational institutions and clinical experts to ensure healthcare resource needs and priority initiatives are supported.

To be successful, the PIO requires proven project and healthcare leadership with broad jurisdictional experience across multiple areas of clinical delivery and business functions to drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, enable the work of partner service delivery organizations, and provide centralized project functions.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Degree in Engineering.
Certification in change management.

Skills :

5 years’ experience utilizing a structured methodology such as Prosci to deliver organizational change management strategies and plans in to have managed large system-wide change in complex multi-jurisdictional environments where stakeholders have a high degree of autonomy to choose whether they participate in the change.
8 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare environment including project scoping/design, managing a team, and problem solving, managing vaguely defined or evolving project deliverables and outcomes, assignment of resources and managing interdependencies and issues in delivering a combination of technology, business and process change. Healthcare is defined as Acute Care, Primary Care, or Long Term Care.
8 years’ experience implementing large transformational projects including organizational and service redesign projects.
5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working on process improvement, service improvement projects in a healthcare environment. Healthcare is defined as Acute Care, Primary Care, or Long Term Care.
5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working on projects that deliver change in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. Experience should include relationship building, understanding cultural safety, and leadership that is flexible and adaptable.
1 year of experience in facilitating improvements to physician administrative burden.
