About our Team:

  • The key role of our team is to drive growth by winning new institutional sales while ensuring the retention and satisfaction of our existing business relationships. We focus on building long-term partnerships, identifying opportunities for expansion, and consistently delivering value to our customers. With a strong sense of collaboration and innovation, we work together to drive success. We work closely with several departments collaborating with the Textbook Sales team to align on product offerings, Channel Sales and the Marketing team.

Could you be our new Institutional Sale Support Executive? 

  • The candidate should excel at cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key institutional libraries, ensuring regular communication and engagement. They need to build trust and stay connected with existing clients while also identifying new opportunities.
  • Have a strong sense of business strategy and the ability to proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities is crucial for meeting the revenue and renewal goals.
  • The ideal candidate should have a consultative approach to sales, meaning they can identify and understand customer needs, tailor solutions, and communicate value in a way that resonates with the client.
  • Since this role requires working closely with internal teams (such as Marketing, Channel Sales, and the HE team), you should posses the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments is key. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital.
  • The ability to understand customer needs, listen attentively, and respond with empathy is essential for building lasting relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • The candidate should have the resilience to stay proactive and committed, even when faced with challenges or long sales cycles.
  • Strong data analysis skills will be important to understand performance metrics, track CRM updates, and make informed decisions on sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in technology and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools (e.g., CRM software) will be necessary for efficient record-keeping and staying organized.

Your new role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through both new institutional sales of Sage Catalyst, drive usage and renewals for existing subscriptions. This includes identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities within key institutions across the UK.
  • You will be accountable for skillfully engaging with customers to uncover their needs and motivations, providing tailored solutions, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. You will also be responsible for addressing any account-level issues that arise to enhance customer relationships.
  • You will work closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Channel Sales, and the Higher Education (HE) team to align on strategies, communicate key product updates, and drive usage. You will play a key role in ensuring all teams are aligned in executing the sales strategy.
  • You will act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, providing valuable feedback and insights from customers to inform product development, marketing strategies, and customer service improvements.
  • You will work closely with your manager to execute the overall institutional sales strategy, contributing to its development and ensuring its successful implementation.
