Exploring new heights, we are looking for a Localization Specialist who will play a pivotal role in driving the localization strategy for all our products, ensuring an enhanced experience for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting market assessment and analysis to identify localization needs in new regions or for new products, setting the vision for the team, and unleveling localization for the company

  • Managing the localization budget, including forecasting expenses and ensuring compliance with established limits.

  • Supporting quality standards and creating quality control procedures for translations and localized content.

  • Collaborating with other departments (e.g., marketing, product, technical support) to align localized content with the company's strategy and user needs.

  • Providing training and consultations for colleagues from other departments on best localization practices and utilization of available tools.

  • People management - managing a team of localization specialists, hiring people, conducting interviews, managing the team's workload.

  • Overseeing localization efforts for the products across 5+ languages, including marketing creatives, educational content, recipes, meal plans, workouts, documentation,  etc.

  • Achieving target localization costs by implementing process automation and utilizing AI technologies (deepl, gpt4 etc)

  • Investigating and implementing strategies to optimize localization processes.

  • Managing relationships with localization contractors (voiceovers, translators, proofreaders)  expanding or optimizing resources as per product requirements.

  • Adapting product and content strategies to accommodate the expansion of localization efforts and exploring new formats.

Professional qualities

  • 3+ years of hands-on localization experience

  • 2+ years of people management experience

  • Familiarity with market-leading CAT tools, especially CrowdIn

  • Ability to set up and configure localization API, proficiency with AI translation tools like DeepL GPT4

  • Proven track record of cost reduction through the automation of the localization process

  • Native or professional proficiency (C1+) in English and one of the following languages:
    German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Ukrainian

  • Ability to set up localization process from scratch

  • Experience in localization into multiple languages (5+ Languages)

  • The ability to build effective and sustainable localization processes from scratch
