This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Health Plan Partnerships and will be instrumental in bring new health plan and TPA partnerships to Progyny. Our Health Plan Sales leader will primarily focus on expanding Progyny’s solutions into new Payers. Our day-to-day view includes having a deep understanding of multiple stakeholders involved in purchasing, buy and support to advance the partnership, developing business strategies, and collaborating and coordinating resources internally throughout the sales process. This is a hunter role and prospecting, lead generation and use of salesforce.com will be critical to success. You are supported by our associate sales managers, product, product marketing team, proposals team, finance team & legal teams to get a deal across the goal line.  

What you’ll do…

  • Build a strong sales pipeline while also closing deals, exceeding annual sales targets 

  • Be a trusted consultant and an advisor to external parties, enabling you to gain insights into your prospects' pain-points and buying needs 

  • Become an expert on Progyny’s product and presentations to prospective customers 

  • Collaborate well with team members and forecast accurately 

  • Understand competitive landscape and position benefit offering to drive new business 

  • Responsible for meeting regularly with the C-Suite (including ongoing Executive Briefings) to align with the strategy and goals of the client organization 

  • Drive new opportunities via channel partners champion, influences and stakeholders.  

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Progyny’s value proposition and offerings, and proficiently position the company in the market with partners. 

  • You will gather prospect feedback, collaborate with internal teams to shape our product roadmap, & deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

About you…

  • 10+ years of healthcare experience with a strong background in health plans or TPAs 

  • Experience in health plan delivery preferred (working in a plan or servicing a plan) including consultants, benefit administrators and/or PBM administration 

  • Demonstrated experience managing large complex accounts and projects for scale and growth at a company 

  • For candidates who have sold into previous plans, a multi product background is preferred 

  • Strong back ground in quota attainment and performance 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time and prioritize accordingly 

  • Ability to travel approximately 35%  

  • Demonstrated high skill levels of written and verbal excellence in business writing, listening, complex messaging presentation, and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent presentation and poise 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a minimal amount of supervision and thrives on accountability 

  • Must have strong ability to influence decision-makers, and proven negotiation skills 

  • Friendly and honest with an unparalleled level of client commitment and Comfortable engaging or leading sessions without having all the information on hand 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Strong computer skills, include, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $185,000 - $195,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
