Senior Backend Engineer - Media Streaming

We're looking for engineers to join our Media Streaming Team.

Role description:

As a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the development, optimization and scaling of our streaming technologies. Our team is dedicated to building a world-class media streaming platform, handling petabytes of data and gigabytes per second of traffic, and ensuring our users have the best possible playback experience. We control playback end-to-end, from transcoding uploaded media all the way to custom-embedded players in our native and web apps. 

You have extensive experience working with Go applications and cloud-based platforms. More importantly, you care to build simple, elegant, beautiful software because you love what you do. You understand the complexity and challenges of distributed systems, and you design with those in mind. Ideally, you are familiar with media streaming concepts, but if you have a curious mind, you will quickly pick them up. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to do their best work. 

We are seeking driven and curious engineers who are diligent, eager to learn, and kind. Senior engineers are expected to help elevate the skills of the team through technical mentorship and leading by example. We welcome your insights on improving and growing as a team. You likely have at least five years of experience in the industry, but we are more focused on what you’ve worked on, how it was built and why it was a success.

As a hybrid company, we value strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a distributed team. We offer a flexible working policy, and you are also welcome to visit our offices in Berlin and London. And if you're lucky, you might even meet an artist!
