What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for driving and enhancing our finance operations and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and technical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CFO to translate financial strategy into quarterly finance operations plans. Own the execution of this plan; prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, coordinate communication, and hold DRI’s accountable.

  • Manage key financial operations including invoicing, commissions, and linguist payments. Partner with Finance, Revenue, and Production to troubleshoot, design, and scale these processes.

  • Serve as a functional expert for Netsuite, Tipalti, Tabs, and Zencentiv, owning the development, enhancement, maintenance, and administration.

  • Liaise between the business and technical teams to translate business problems into technical requirements. Lead the systems roadmap execution, including prioritization, requirement gathering, project timeline, user acceptance testing, and issue resolution.

  • Partner with accounting to support month-end close, flux review processes, and deliver high-quality financial reporting

  • Drive best practices, systems controls & validations, and data governance across financial tools

  • Champion tool adoption and change management through the development of trainings, documentation, and enablement resources

Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in finance operations, preferably in a high-growth technology company

  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite)

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Experience with change management and cross-functional collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus

Our Story

Our founders, Spence and John met at Google working on Google Translate.  As researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone. They were amazed to learn that Google Translate wasn’t used for enterprise products and services inside the company and left to start a new company to address this need – LILT.

At its core, LILT has always been a machine learning company since its incorporation on March 6, 2015. At the time, machine translation didn’t meet the quality standard for enterprise translations, so LILT assembled a cutting-edge research team tasked with closing that gap. While meeting customer demand for translation services, LILT has prioritized investments in Large Language Models, believing that this foundation was imperative to the future of enterprise translation.

Benefits:

  • Compensation: At market salary, meaningful equity, 401(k) matching, and flexible time off plus company holidays
