HCP Promotions Marketing Manager, Oncology
What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital the HCP Promotions Marketing Manager for Oncology will play a critical role in increasing the value of Nplate®, a treatment for patients with ITP – a rare platelet disorder.

The team faces a critical period with continued competitive intensity where our digital marketing efforts will play a critical role for brand success. The Marketing Manager will be a key part of the Nplate® Brand Team to identify, shape and implement a broad range of multi-channel programs, focusing on digital channels, designed to educate HCPs about Nplate®. This individual will also be responsible for the HCP website, which serves as the future core tool used by our field team, and the central hub across all of our digital marketing efforts. Finally, they may also be responsibility for managing the overall brand budget, including all spend across the marketing and cross-functional team. They will be expected to demonstrate team and XF leadership across these key workstreams.

The ideal candidate will show strong cross-functional leadership and project management, a track record for successful execution, excellent communication skills, and a passion to serve patients in a dynamic, competitive environment.

This position will report to the Brand Director for Nplate® in the Oncology Business Unit.

  • Lead planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns in support of brand strategy to reach and engage target HCPs
  • Team lead for identifying and shaping opportunities with new digital channel partners to drive increased reach and frequency of engagement with target HCPs
  • Lead updates to Nplate HCP website to serve as core detail aid for the field team, as well as central hub for all digital marketing initiatives
  • Oversee HCP targeting and segmentation strategies for multi-channel campaigns and database marketing programs
  • Manage overall brand budget and instill XF accountability for OpEx financial stewardship
  • Partner with creative agencies, media agencies, MAC, brand, IS, and GCC teams to develop engaging multichannel content for distribution via various channels including print, video, email, e-detail, banners, search, social media, and other digital channels
  • Build on strong field/marketing partnership to pull through key field insights and feedback to continuously improve resources, communication, and messaging
  • Communicate campaign, and customer insights/opportunities to help team refine brand positioning, messaging, targeting and budget allocation across channels
  • Partner with media agency and analytics team to continuously optimize digital campaigns
  • Manage campaign development timelines, budgets and performance to deliver on brand KPIs
  • Inform key team members on multi-channel campaign performance and be a champion for digital marketing innovation within the OBU
  • Live and role model the Amgen Values and contribute to a welcoming, engaging, and fun environment of industry-leading performance within the Brand Team and cross-functional partners

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate’s Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical/device or healthcare marketing or advertising experience
  • Prior Rare Disease or Oncology experience
  • Experience developing and completing a wide range of multi-channel marketing initiatives, with a focus on digital media channels
  • Strong marketing acumen with a solid grasp of marketing strategy and tactical plan development
  • Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams and navigating legal/regulatory/medical processes, as well as working with field teams
  • Self-starter with strength in project management and ability to lead others to meet multiple priorities simultaneously in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated strength in analytics to translate data into insights and recommended actions
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
