Job description

The Embedded Project Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the successful execution of complex security projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of security systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines.
  • Track project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
  • Proactively address challenges and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
     
Technical Expertise:
  • Possess a strong understanding of security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Review and approve design packages, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design teams to develop accurate and detailed design documentation.
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of appropriate equipment and materials. 
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues.
Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure optimal performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team progress.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits.
  • Identify and address quality issues promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the security industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., SmartSheets, Google Suites, CAD, BlueBeam, Auto Desk).
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP).
  • Certifications in security industry standards (e.g., CPP, CSPM).
  • Experience with specific security systems and technologies (e.g., Ccure, Axis, Flir).
  • Knowledge of construction and facility management processes.
