Application Manager - MAGDA

Job Description:

The Flemish Government consists of the Flemish Parliament, the Government of Flanders and the Flemish administration. The Flemish administration contains 10 Policy Areas - such as Education and Training, Mobility and Public Works and Economy, Science and Innovation to name a few. Each Policy Area consists of a department and autonomous agencies.

To facilitate the delivery of the "Application Management" service, an application manager and a customer counterpart are assigned to every managed application. Together, they guarantee the “AM” service delivery of the relevant application in accordance with the service agreements.

Within the MAGDA project you’ll be part of a central hub between different data sources such as agencies, departments, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Daily monitoring, control, correction of various processes, web services, batch processing, creation of publication files.
• Answering internal and external functional/technical questions within 2nd line processing.
• Resolving reported incidents.
• Coordinating solutions with technical teams.

When connecting new customers for MAGDA:

• Setting up the necessary configurations.
• Web services, batch processes and publications.
• Certificate management (follow-up of certificate expiration dates, creation of private key/csr/certificate, coordination of certificate releases in consultation with sources).

Requirements:

• Handle clear structured communication (both verbal and written).
• Be able to communicate with different stakeholders within account.
• Able to use a logical, structured approach to solve various types of problems independently.
• Formulate a problem/solution and communicate it to the relevant teams/hierarchy.
• Knowledge of a general software development cycle and its steps is nice to have.
• Necessary knowledge: SQL (EDB - POSTGRES - ORACLE), XML – XSD
• Used tools: Unlocking databases: dbever - path - ...., OpenSearch, SoapUI, XML spy, FileZilla - WinSCP, PowerShell scripting
• Language requirements: fluent in Dutch and English
