POSITION SUMMARY
Zoetis, the leading animal health company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced ERP Finance Product Owner-Management Accounting and Reporting. This position is integral in shaping the strategic direction of ERP Finance solutions, ensuring they align with the company's overall business objectives and growth ambitions as well as running efficient day to day business operations. By acting as a bridge between Business stakeholders and the technical team, the ERP Finance Product Owner ensures that the product strategy and roadmap are executed efficiently and effectively, delivering high-quality, compliant, and validated solutions that enhance business operations. Additionally, your leadership in managing the budget, fostering team development, and driving innovation within the ERP Finance space is crucial for maintaining financial control, operational efficiency, and a competitive edge in the market. This role not only optimizes current processes but also anticipates future needs, unlocking value and supporting Zoetis’ mission to improve animal health and well-being.
The ERP Finance Product Owner-Management Accounting and Reporting will be a key member of the ERP Finance Product Leadership Team and help set direction for the use of ERP solutions to meet the company’s growth ambitions. You will be expected to significantly contribute to the strategic vision and operational excellent of our business. This entails not only leading your team but participating in high-level decision making proceses that will help shape the future of Zoetis. This will be done through collaboration across senior leaders in our business to ensure ERP initiatives are aligned with the company’s broader goals and objectives. You will be expected to champion cross function collaboration along with championing best practices promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the liaison between ZTD and key finance stakeholders, ensuring alignment of SAP Management Accounting and Reporting with business objectives.
Facilitate regular updates and strategic discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Develop a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for all Management Accounting and Reporting, aligning with Zoetis’ overall business strategy and goals.
Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform and shape the product vision.
Act as internal consultant and design architect for SAP global solution in the areas of GMS Finance Areas like Product Costing, Material Ledger, Multiple Valuations, Transfer Pricing as it relates to product costing, Cost center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Margin analysis to address their requirements and provide systems & solutions.
Work with peers in the Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) organization and business representatives to determine business process and solution design leveraging the capabilities of the SAP modules.
Support the identification of opportunities to standardize processes and system configuration globally and ensure compliance across all implementations to these standards.
Collaborate with representatives of other SAP Products to ensure end to end process integration and consistency.
Develop, prototype, test, and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives after the implementation.
Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the SAP solution to improve Zoetis business processes related to of GMS Finance Areas like Product Costing, Material Ledger, Multiple Valuations, Transfer Pricing as it relates to product costing, , Cost center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Margin analysis to address their requirements and provide systems & solutions.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the SAP Finance Products, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP Finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans for team members.
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, setting a positive example for the team through ethical behavior, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect within the team and across the organization.
Ensure team members have the necessary skills, training, and resources to succeed in their roles.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior product management role focused on SAP Finance systems implementation.
Proven experience in managing Business stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.
Experience delivering compliant and validated solutions in regulated industries.
Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of SAP Finance Areas like Product Costing, Material Ledger, Multiple Valuations, Transfer Pricing as it relates to product costing, , Cost center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Margin analysis with atleast10 years of proven experience.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management for IT projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial controls in the SAP environment.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This role will require occasional weekend working to meet customer needs for minimizing business impact of change. Expected travel between 10-30% for this role depending upon project demands.
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range: $126,000-$181,000

other factors.
Base Pay Range: $134,000-$205,000
