Job Description:
D-PAS is Discover’s EMV-compliant chip specification, the technology that drives card present transactions, speeding up acceptance and increasing security. Mobile D-PAS is the outlying technology that enables cardholders to make contactless payments using their mobile devices. Within each Mobile Wallet sits our technology to ensure our cardholders can load their cards onto a device, make contactless transactions at D-PAS-enabled terminals, and perform secure In-App transactions.
As an EMV Mobile Payments Product Manager, you will be responsible for the success of Mobile D-PAS from conception to launch and ultimately global adoption. You will develop the Mobile D-PAS product strategy, roadmap, and features, based on client needs, as well as set the product positioning and messaging relative to complementary products and competing offerings in the market.
What You’ll Do
- Assesses the performance of and shapes the structure and direction of new and existing product lines and leads the development and execution of strategic product plans for key initiatives such as the introduction of new products, product line extensions, or product enhancements. Accountable for achieving specific goals for each product, including evaluating product performance, and identifying innovations to address customer needs and improve product performance in the market.
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You’ll Do It
- Develop and maintain Mobile D-PAS product roadmap based on client needs, balancing risk, security and regulatory compliance. Work with development teams to develop and implement product requirements.
- Maintain and develop product guides to aid partners in developing and deploying products and services.
- Develop network policies to document the requirements and use of mobile products and ensure that policies meet regulatory requirements.
- Identify sources, monitor, analyze, and interpret key product performance metrics including financials, network volumes, other key statistics, and internal/external customer feedback trends, then develop and communicate findings, and make strategic and tactical recommendations for performance improvements.
- Define and execute strategic product road-maps to build new products, enhance existing products, or improve performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and methodologies to on-board new partners.
- Track and understand industry trends, research findings, and competitive innovations.
- Provide business analysis and reporting on a periodic basis.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop or support sales efforts or go-to-market strategies.
- Serve as Product Management business lead on cross-functional teams, including internal departments such as Sales, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Technology in the evaluation, development, management, and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Social Sciences, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Communications or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Product Management or Related
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related including Product Management Experience

Bonus Points If You Have
- Master's Degree in Information Technology, Social Sciences, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Experience working as a product manager in the payments industry
- Knowledge of EMV specifications and how EMV transactions are processed
- Understand the complete end-to-end card payment transaction processing
- Market analysis capabilities
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at different leadership levels and departments
- Knowledge of Mobile Commerce
- Proven successful experience managing full product development from conception to implementation
- Ability to work with both business teams as well as development teams
- Have a curious mindset, willing to learn and understand the technical aspects of the product
- 6+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related
- 2+ years of experience in Fintech platforms, start ups or Related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
