We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Aid Compliance Director to join our dynamic University Financial Aid (UFA) team.

What you will do: 

  • Understand and keep up to date on current and proposed federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations.

  • Review compliance standards and suggest improvements to internal processes and materials.

  • Draft updates for publication in manuals, websites, SOPs, and student notifications.

  • Develop and implement methods to identify potential University risk concerns and to ensure compliance with organizational and federal policies, procedures, and processes or other issues with compliance.

  • Working with the training department to develop and evaluate financial aid education for staff, as needed.

  • Assist with vetting of data, responding to requests for information, and filing of reports with the Department of Education, applicable agencies, and contractors, as well as other GCU and GCE departments.

  • Manage assigned projects and areas of primary responsibility as well as team projects.

  • Collaborating within department and other departments with projects to include assigning tasks, meeting objectives, directing work, and monitoring activity.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 10 years as Financial Aid Director or in similar position.

  • Experience with Anthology Student (CampusVue) preferred.

  • Experience with FISAP, IPEDS, GE/FVT

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
