General Summary:
This role is accountable for driving Unum's Total Leave migration efforts across the country, in partnership with Sales & Client Management and Absence Operations. This individual will secure the proper Unum SMEs to deliver relevant content and drive overall program execution, reporting and ongoing client pipeline engagement. The incumbent will be expected to develop Total Leave product knowledge to best support the migration team and field partners. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing a team of Migration Consultants, ensuring to attract, develop, and retain processional talent to achieve overall organizational objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and refine relevant market development programs that can be delivered to our existing clients and through our brokers/consultants.
- Track and monitor pipeline development and migration sales success attributable to the specified market development activities.
- Foster a high-performance environment and an engaged team, focused on providing high quality service to our customers and organizational partners
- Develop and maintain market development business plans in support of migration sales goals.
- Provide project management and support for all market development activities, in partnership with AVP, Total Leave Migration, Solutions partners, Absence Operations, UW partners and/or field partners.
- Support pre-sales activities, utilizing data analytics and market research. Gather and organize regional and local market data on clients and brokers.
- Organize data for each campaign by utilizing Salesforce functionality to ensure appropriate tracking and monitoring of all migration sales campaigns and activities. Responsible for entering and maintaining all pre-sales and campaign information in Salesforce and accountable for ensuring downstream partners provide necessary updates.
- Responsible for partnering with Solutions and Absence Operations partners to coordinate volume projections and timing with available operational capacity
- Accountable for successfully delivering on national migration sales targets
- Successfully manage both proactive and reactive pipelines of migration clients to achieve migration objectives
Job Specifications
- 7+ years of employee benefits sales, client management and / or market development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree and / or CEBS professional designation preferred.
- Proven ability to coach team members regarding individual capabilities and proposed development actions needed to build additional competence to lead people to achieve their full potential
- Proven leadership skills and strong management competency
- Ability to work effectively in a large cross-functional, home office environment and partner with a large national sales force.
- Knowledge and experience working with sales, brokers and / or consultants.
- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical skill required to review and organize market data.
- Creative problem solving
- Travel up to 25%.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$89,900.00-$169,900.00
Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
