Role Name: Medical Assistant & Administrative Coordinator

Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Thursday - Monday 4pm - 2am PST

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant & Administrative Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this dual role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to combine clinical support with administrative excellence, working directly with our physician to ensure smooth practice operations and outstanding patient care. Responsibilities
  • Support daily clinical operations by managing electronic medical records (EMR) in Athena and Epic systems
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain an efficient appointment calendar
  • Process and follow up on insurance claims and billing inquiries
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and documentation
  • Manage patient follow-ups and coordinate care plans
  • Organize and prioritize administrative tasks to support practice efficiency
  • Handle patient communications and coordinate with healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Assist with practice management duties and workflow optimization


Requirements
  • Proven experience with EMR systems, particularly Athena and Epic
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and practice management software
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with insurance billing and follow-ups preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Professional demeanor and excellent patient service skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
