What you’ll be doing

As a Software Engineer specializing in Android development, you will be a vital member of our mobile app development team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications, contributing to the overall success of our mobile projects. Your expertise in Android development and best practices will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and user-friendly mobile solutions.

• Designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Working on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Submitting and managing applications on Google Play Store
• Exploring, communicating and implementing Android best practices within the organization to maximize development efficiency
• Staying ahead of the game and up to date with the latest the field has to offer along contributing to your community & helping your peers
• You may assist with technical consultancy during client meetings, helping translate business needs into technical solutions and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Contribute to the growth of the Android tribe by mentoring junior engineers and participating in code reviews.

Requirements

What we need from you

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Android engineer to join our team.  You have an eye for detail and look forward to trying out the newest technologies out there. You love challenges and love solving tech mysteries. We are not looking for a coding machine but a team player who enjoys collaboration with other teams and contributing to their peers.

• 3+ years of experience in Android app development, with expertise in modern tools and frameworks, including Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow.
• Strong understanding of MVI and MVVM architectural patterns, with hands-on experience implementing clean, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• Proficiency in working with REST APIs, consuming remote data, and handling JSON.
• Practical experience with Git and adherence to best practices for version control and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs to enhance app functionality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and adopt the latest industry trends.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Interest in mentoring junior team members and contributing to team-wide knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Strong grasp of the English language, both written and spoken.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with GraphQL APIs, KMM, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, or open-source contributions.
• Familiarity with the Google Play Store submission process and app lifecycle management.
