Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Our FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organisation's financial planning and decision-making processes. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for analysing financial data, developing budgets and forecasts plans, and providing insights to senior management. Besides, will support the implementation of tech and AI into finance processes to gain efficiency. The role demands strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, as well as effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will do as a FP&A Analyst in Companjon
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and performance reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
  • Support with the accounting monthly, quarterly, and yearly processes.
  • Own the finance tools. Implement tech and AI into finance processes to gain efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess business scenarios, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Create, review, analyse and report budgets, plans, and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to monitor and improve our cost base, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of high quality presentations for the executive team and board of directors.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
What you will need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or FP&A roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Comfortable with leveraging Finance IT systems and applications within business processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent and with high standards when it comes to the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Desirable: understanding of insurance business receivable and payable amounts and associated cash flows (underwriter, brokerage and service providers).
