About the Role

 

AECC is experiencing significant growth in line with the timely changes for students and our university and college partners around the world. As we expand our global footprint, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk who will work closely with the finance team, customers, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate invoicing, record payments, resolve inquiries, and provide general administrative support.

 

This role is a permanent work from home position reporting to the Management Accountant based in Melbourne, Australia.

 

What Does This Opportunity Mean for You

 

  • Provide administrative support to the accounts receivable function, including data entry, document preparation, and record-keeping.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all necessary information is included on the invoices, such as billing address, payment terms, and any special instructions.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including contact information, billing details, and payment history.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accurate recording of transactions and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue customer accounts, sending payment reminders, statements, and collection notices as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate and complete accounts receivable data.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial and customer information.

 

Skills and Attributes Required

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • At least 1-3 years of proven experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance-related role with administrative responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude with keen attention to details.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative skills, including data entry, document management, and record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
