Product Designer

Job Description: 

POSITION

The Product Designer will report directly to the Director of R&D and will play a key role in crafting exceptional digital products that engage users and solve real-world problems. The Product Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers and engineers to design intuitive, effective, and visually appealing digital solutions that will drive user satisfaction, business growth, and enhance the overall product experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Product Designer responsibilities include:

• Lead the design of digital products across web and mobile platforms, including wireframes, prototypes, UI designs, and visual assets.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet both user needs and business goals.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather user feedback to inform design decisions.
• Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in design execution.
• Create low and high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications for development teams.
• Work iteratively, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, testing, and user insights to refine and improve designs.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies to keep our products at the forefront of innovation.
• Contribute to the creation and maintaining of the Style Guides and Libraries across the entire MSI product portfolio to provide consistency with all aspects of look and feel
• Ensure design frameworks are up-to-date with current versions.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of user experience design principles and methodologies
• Ability to conduct independent user research and analysis
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in design documentation, including style guides and user flows

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with basic HTML, CSS
• Familiarity with ReactJS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on web and mobile applications
• Ability to manage and complete multiple projects at a time
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working in an agile environment.
• Strong creativity and innovation management with a customer focus
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar
