POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. IT Asset Management Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, implementing, and maintaining our IT asset management and infrastructure monitoring systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives regarding enterprise observability.

WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT:

  • Identifying and understanding technical requirements; being able to offer optimal, modern IT Asset Management solutions that are an excellent fit for the organization and within reasonable cost constraints.

  • Understanding priorities and operating with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based observability solutions, with an emphasis on IT asset management via Device42 and associated tools.

  • Autonomy: self-starter with the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Solution Orientation: you love solving problems, puzzles, and complexity. Ability to navigate through ambiguity from a vague problem to a detailed solution.

  • Communication: the ability to expertly document technical solutions and explain them to people with various degrees of technical understanding.

  • Relationship Building: Engage a cross-functional team of IT professionals such as Infrastructure, DevOps, Cyber Security, Database Engineering, and others.

WORK YOU'LL DO

  • IT Asset Management: Implement and manage IT asset management solutions using Device42 to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of IT assets.

  • Application Dependency Mapping: Design and implement application dependency mapping framework to establish relationship topology between servers, databases, network devices, etc.

  • Lifecycle Management: Work with cross-functional teams to establish proper IT asset lifecycle management in accordance with best practices.

  • Configuration Management Database: Design and implement an enterprise-scale CMDB consisting of all IT assets, device relationships, and dependencies.

  • Performance Optimization: Analyze observability data and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of observability systems, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support observability-related projects and initiatives.

  • Incident Response: Respond to incidents and outages, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT asset management and infrastructure monitoring, with a focus on design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in observability tools such as Device42 and LogicMonitor (or similar).

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and best practices.

  • Cloud experience (Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in observability tools and practices.

  • Expertise with modern observability tools and willingness to keep current with all applicable technologies.
