Their engineering headquarters is in Toruń, Poland, but part of the team is remote in other areas of Poland and in Pakistan. Most of the business team is located in the US. At present, the team communicates actively through Slack and Zoom*. 

About the Role:
They are seeking an experienced, highly organized and data-driven HR Manager with both process and a human-focus to help CouponFollow grow their team. At CouponFollow, you’ll play a key role as the primary point of contact for the multi-national, distributed team of 60+ contractor Engineers and Product Managers, taking ownership of the complete contractor lifecycle and team development initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to shape the people operations function and contribute directly to our company's growth.

*You will primarily work during typical Polish working hours (9:00-17:00). However, as part of an international, remote-distributed team, you should be prepared to accommodate some flexibility, averaging once per week, to collaborate across multiple time zones (USA / Poland / Pakistan).

What you'll do?
  • Talent Management:
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offering candidates.
  • Support and train managers in evaluating candidates effectively (e.g., bias awareness, active listening, non-violent communication).
  • Manage the hiring process and maintain the talent pools.
  • Manage and execute comprehensive onboarding and offboarding programs.
  • Contribute to long-term workforce planning.

  • Team development: 
  • Maintain compensation and benefits structures suitable for a distributed workforce.
  • Design and deliver training programs focused on professional development.
  • Foster transparent communication across teams in remote locations.
  • Ensure social connection through engaging different teams in team-building events.  
  • Contribute to the performance review process, including various feedback channels.
  • Address conflicts promptly to maintain team harmony.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop clear performance criteria aligned with company goals and values.
  • Implement feedback systems to gather diverse perspectives supporting performance reviews for the crew. 

  • Administrative leadership:
  • Directly manage the Office Coordinator, who handles team events and administrative tasks for the Toruń office.
  • Oversee the organization of team off-sites and global summit events (along with the Office Coordinator).
  • Maintain accurate contractor documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review submitted timesheets and work hours against any anomalies or discrepancies before processing monthly payroll for contractors.

  • What you'll need to be successful?
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR roles (particularly in the IT remote-first environments) with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures with HR systems (they use Recruitee as ATS and HubStaff for time tracking) and remote collaboration tools (as Google Workspace and Slack).
  • Knowledge of international labor laws and contractor management.
  • Proven recruiting experience, preferably in IT teams.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple HR initiatives simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work across distributed teams, particularly in English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

  • Nice to haves: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; PHR/SPHR (Professional in Human Resources/Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification; and experience in startup or high-growth environments.

    1. Online interview with Mike (COO) and Marcin (Principal Engineer) - 45 min.
    2. Online interview with Group Tech Leads: Kacper & Kamil - 45 min.
    3. (Final) online interview - a chance for the candidate to connect, say hello and ask last questions - 30 min., with the decision after that.
