Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team and contribute to rebuilding Banco Popular's Mi Banco program, specifically focusing on their retail mobile banking app. You will design, develop, and maintain applications for the Android platform while ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team, troubleshoot issues, and help shape the future of mobile banking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Android Application Development:
   

   • Design and build applications for the Android platform.
     

   • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
     

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
     

2. Problem Solving and Bug Fixing:
   

   • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
     

   • Proactively and continuously address systematic and data integrity issues across multiple systems.
     

3. Code Quality and Maintenance:
   

   • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
     

   • Develop, build, and maintain reports and dashboards containing actionable metrics to monitor the performance of operations.
     

4. Collaboration and Communication:
   

   • Work closely with clients and team members to evaluate information, reconcile variances, and recommend proposals.
     

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  

  • 5+ years of experience working as an Android Developer.
    

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Android development.
    

• Technical Skills:
  

  • Proficient in Swift, with some experience in Objective-C.
    

  • Knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine.
    

  • Familiarity with other web technologies and UI/UX standards, such as creating reusable components, UITableView, developing UI without Storyboard, and creating ADA-accessible views.
    

  • Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools.
    

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
    

  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
    

  • Experience with continuous integration practices.
    

• Preferred Skills:
  

  • Familiarity with frameworks and libraries such as Alamofire and SwiftyJSON.
    

  • Experience managing asynchronous requests and using GCD (Grand Central Dispatch).
    

  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries.
    

• Soft Skills:
  

  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization.
    

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
