Job description

This fully remote position is 25 hours/week or .625 FTE with opportunity for more hours. Preference will be given to candidates local to the Beaverton, Oregon, area who are available to come into the office occasionally.

Leanpath, the global leader in food waste prevention solutions, is seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist with 5 or more years of hands-on experience in managing accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in collections, particularly in resolving outstanding payments and maintaining positive relationships with clients.


What you’ll be responsible for:


  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including high-volume invoicing, payment collections, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize Netsuite ERP system to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collections processes and reduce outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on customer payment history and credit terms.
  • Work closely with the sales team to address customer payment issues and resolve billing inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline billing procedures and optimize cash flow.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounts receivable transactions and communications.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in accounts receivable management, with a proven track record of success in collections.
  • Experience preparing invoices for international customers in multiple currencies.
  • Proficiency in Netsuite or other ERP systems is required.
  • Action-oriented individual with a results-driven mindset and a demonstrated ability to meet collection targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Persistence and tenacity in pursuing overdue payments and resolving billing issues.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
