At VelocityEHS, we are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support the growth of the BI organization. As a BI Analyst, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, empowering stakeholders with data-driven solutions. You'll collaborate across teams to develop impactful reports and visualization, ensuring data accuracy and supporting informed business decisions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather data requirements,
and add value through translation into analytical solutions
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support
strategic business decisions
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate
insights effectively to business stakeholders
- Data Quality Assurance: Validate and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across governance
systems, reports and analyses
- Process & Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for BI processes, data models, and reporting tools to support knowledge sharing and consistency across the business
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong business acumen required
- Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, self-motivated, team player
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective systemic thinking skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in a role requiring data analysis
- Experience with reporting, analysis, and visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, etc.)
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus
- Strong ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Agile methodology is a strong plus

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is between $88,150 and $116,200 (United States) or $82,800 and $102,050 CAD (Canada). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate’s proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
