Job description

Salesforce Pre-sales Solutions Engineer (Remote)
About CloudKettle

CloudKettle is a fast growing, boutique Salesforce partner that specializes in servicing enterprise clients in regulated industries. Our reputation for white glove service drives a large volume of referral business, from our clients and from Salesforce and as a result, we are continuing to expand our Client Services team.

Introduction

As a Salesforce Solution Engineer at CloudKettle, you are a key contributor in the Sales cycle, both for new prospects and for existing clients embarking on new projects. In this role you will act as a trusted advisor to CloudKettle team members and our customers - understanding the client’s needs, translating what they request and combining it with deep technical expertise to provide Salesforce solutions and then communicating those solutions in a compelling manner to a variety of stakeholders.

In this full lifecycle role you will not only help conduct discovery, conceptualize solutions and assist with scoping and pricing, but you will also help demonstrate proposed designs and explain them at a senior executive and technical user level.

Location

Remote, within Canada or the United States

Responsibilities

A Solutions Engineer is responsible for the technical aspects of the Sales Cycle, helping expand the organization's client base and profile across the discovery, design and demo stages of the Sales cycle:

  • Work with CloudKettle Client Services and technical team members through the requirements to close phase of the project lifecycle

  • Gather requirements from prospects and clients, where necessary, challenging their assumptions about what they need and providing alternative options that will produce better outcomes for them

  • Scope, design and price solutions, assisting in providing them to clients in written, verbal and presentation forms, all while understanding that when accepted, they have to be built and maintained - and keeping items that will impact the clients’ Long Term Cost of Ownership (LTCO) in mind while doing so

  • Assist Client Services team members in the compilation and submission of RFPs

  • Create and maintain demo environments for the purpose of providing walkthroughs to clients

  • Participate in all stages of the sales cycle, demonstrating a deep understanding of our prospect and clients’ industries, common pain points and how the Salesforce ecosystem can be applied to solving them

  • Contribute to CloudKettle’s thought leadership content and reusable assets

  • Act as a mentor to CloudKettle team members, sharing your knowledge and domain expertise

  • Assist with multiple opportunities and RFPs simultaneously across the stages of the sales cycle

  • Represent and reinforce CloudKettle’s values, both to the internal team, to our clients, and to our Partners

  • Have a history of experience working on complex business transformation projects

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of team members

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
