We are looking for a Senior National Sales Director to develop, present and execute the strategic sales plan for Dexcom in Germany. The role has significant people leadership responsibilities including hiring, managing and developing Regional Sales Managers/Commercial Leaders and Sales teams to drive and achieve the sales growth strategy. The ideal candidate will develop innovative sales and business strategies and models to drive accelerated growth and greater adoption of Dexcom continuous glucose monitoring technology in key market segments. The role will also be accountable for managing commercial business partners in country as well as key strategic partners and Co-lead product commercialization prioritization needed to support entry into both existing and future market segments.
Where you come in:
- You will be working as a key part of the DACH - Management team, give insight and leadership to shape the strategic direction and performance of Dexcom across the region
- You will deliver national sales targets and other core KPI`s
- You are responsbile to recruit, hire and develop Regional Sales Managers and field sales personnel to achieve national and regional sales goals. You will lead and develop Regional Sales Managers and other Commercial Leaders to be excellent coaches and motivators for their teams with the intent of growing leaders and delivering goals
- You will closely collaborate with Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Finance and other departments within Dexcom to develop strategic plans for product launches, line extensions, competitive threats, expansion plans, etc.
- In addition, you will collaborate with external business partners and KOL’s to grow the Dexcom business
- You will be actively involved being in the field with regional sales staff to develop skills, product knowledge and territory plans to achieve sales objectives. You will be setting performance goals and KPI’s, lead performance and recognize and reward outstanding performance. Another important part of your position will be to identify top performers for continued development and low performers for performance improvement actions - up to and including termination
- You meet and nurture relationships with key regional diabetes centers, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and diabetes organizations.
- You are leading P&L/budgets and administrative requirements as specified by management
- You will provide timely information and data regarding sales performance to management; construct national forecasts as requested.
- You are responsible for ensuring department understands and complies with quality standards and requirements as documented
- You will foster a collaborative, inclusive and results oriented culture within the team and across departments.
What makes you successful:
- You have significant sales leadership experience (> 5 years), ideally with a track record of success in Diabetes or the wider Medical Devices field
- You have extensive experience to lead a big Sales/Commercial organization (> 80 employees)
- You are experienced in leading the mapping and implementation of new structures within a transformation process
- You are an excellent people leader, with the ability to coach and inspire a field based team
- You have a consistent record of successfully developing and implementing commercial strategies in a senior role
- You have a strong business acumen and market knowledge with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- University/Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in a business related discipline
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 17+ years of industry experience
- 13+ years of years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry
