Job description

At Temper, we’re all about creating a workplace where people can truly thrive—professionally, socially, and creatively. As our Workplace Manager, you’ll play a central role in making this happen by bringing energy, organization, and a personal touch to everything you do.

In this role, you’ll take charge of keeping things running smoothly both in our Amsterdam office and for our remote team. You’ll be responsible for onboarding, communications, office operations, and hosting awesome events. It’s a role with a lot of variety, so if you like wearing different hats, you’ll feel right at home.

The Challenge

  • Be the face and host of the office, shaping its vibe and fostering a welcoming, dynamic atmosphere.

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations, constantly evaluating how we can optimize our workspace and better support hybrid/remote working.

  • Support seamless onboarding processes that set new hires up for success and foster connection from day one.

  • Take the lead on planning and executing unforgettable events—from brainstorming ideas to seamless execution and thoughtful post-event reflections. This includes coordinating bi-annual company summits that bring our entire team together.

What Will You Be Doing

Workplace, Flexibility & Mobility (35%)

  • Help bring our remote-first mindset to life by ensuring colleagues are set up for success, whether they’re working from home or the office.

  • Oversee office-related projects, keeping leadership in the loop and everything running smoothly.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our office, coordinate with suppliers and partners, stick to budgets, greet guests, and handle essentials like office supplies, snacks, and beverages.

  • Take charge of all office and facility elements related to Health & Safety, including risk management and evaluations.

Engagement & Events (25%)

  • Plan and organize monthly in-office events as well as our bi-annual Global Summits. You’ll handle everything from brainstorming creative ideas and budgeting to executing events and reflecting on their success.

  • Bring energy and fun to the office by crafting experiences that help our team feel connected and inspired.

Onboarding New Colleagues (10%)

  • Own and facilitate our monthly company onboarding program, TemperUni. Keep it fresh and aligned with company strategy.

  • Manage hardware and tools for new joiners so they feel ready to hit the ground running.

Communication (10%)

  • Lead office and event-related communications across Slack and Notion, ensuring everyone is in the loop on the latest updates and announcements.

Other (20%)

  • Be the go-to for travel guidelines, optimizing processes and costs for business trips.

  • Tackle workplace and people-related projects to keep things running smoothly and improve how we work together.

How We Work

At Temper, we embrace a dynamic hybrid work model that blends the best of both worlds: the energy of our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, and London, and the flexibility to work from home.

In this role you will be part of the People & Culture team, reporting to the Director of People & Culture Fleur Stoffels.

It’s required to be in the office at least three times a week and you can choose to work 32 or 40 hours per week.
