SUMMARY
The Global Relocation Financial Specialist is responsible for the division’s end-to-end administration of all financial related transactions, including managing accounts payables/receivables, invoice submission to third party representatives for all shipments, and financial accruals and actuals registration into the Job Costing Module.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares payment of vendor invoices, cross-referencing amount invoiced to the established accrual to validate accuracy.
- Coordinates invoice discrepancies with vendors, making IMIS system adjustments where needed.
- Ensures timely and prompt payment of vendor invoices, capitalizing on all current “quick pay” agreements.
- Enters Revenue into IMIS for payments received on all shipments.
- Monitors receivables to ensure prompt collection of all transactions.
- Analyzes accrual vs. actual variances to identify operational opportunities for accuracy and efficiency improvement.
- Ensures consistent and prompt invoicing of all shipments.
- Provides cost reduction initiatives
- Reconciles weekly vendor wire report’s accuracy, provides Accounting with corrected transactions.
- Prepares tax related transactions on relative commercial shipments
- Processes transferee expense reports on relative national account/commercial shipments
- Prepares and submits client directed financial reporting
- Reviews account reconciliation reports
- Provides general International Group departmental and inter-departmental support, as needed.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Outlook and Word. Proficiency with Excel.

- Ability to professionally communicate with internal staff and external suppliers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree (Logistics/Transportation/Accounting) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping chain and solid understanding of supporting US government tenders.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels of employee.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
