Core Duties
Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager, Leadership Development will be responsible for the end-to-end design of leadership development and mentoring programs for Patra’s current and aspiring leaders. In this role, you will:
Partner with business leaders, key stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs) and Learning and HR team members to ensure impactful leadership development experiences that develop Patra’s leaders.
Accountable for end-to-end oversight and business outcomes or manager and leader programs, as well as other leadership competency-building efforts.
Be a leader, coach and mentor for all things training, learning, and development.
Champion a culture of learning and people development throughout Patra.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in the application of adult learning science and principles to deliver learning solutions that drive lasting impact.
Partner with key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments; analyze learning solution effectiveness and adoption; identify performance, trends, and opportunities.
Partner with business leaders and Human Resources to determine how to best support the development and career progression of Patra employees. Connect learning solutions to business needs and assist in addressing business problems/opportunities.
Analysis, design, development, delivery, measurement, and maintenance of all new and existing global manager/leader and professional development programs to ensure these programs provide clear demonstrated impacts and a positive return on overall performance.
Manage existing program for first-time managers: coordinating with admin staff on logistics, training facilitators, managing program quality. Collect metrics and communicate results. Make updates and improvements as needed.
For identified needs, develop detailed design roadmaps which include key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve objectives. Define metrics and methods for evaluating results.
Design and build learning solutions, in conjunction with Learning team, using common development tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Canva, and the Patra learning management system.
Drive a continuous learning and growth mindset to build organizational capability and support current and future skill needs.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the latest trends, best practices, and methods as they relate to leadership development, adult learning theory and learning technologies. Ensure experiential learning is leveraged to accelerate development.
Partner with vendors to enable solutions that drive flexibility, speed and learning innovation.
Expertly facilitate live learning activities.
Contribute to development and maintenance of learning standards, templates, and best practices.
Five+ years experience in leadership development, preferably in a corporate environment for a North American or European company.
Must have experience managing large complex projects or programs across a global organization.
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, build effective relationships and influence peers and key stakeholders to achieve results.
Experience delivering leadership development training using all available delivery modalities, including in-person instructor-led and virtual instructor-led, webinars, eCourses, blended training, etc.
Experience delivering training to multiple levels of leadership, such as supervisors, managers, directors, etc.
Experience leveraging adult learning methodologies, standards, learning modalities, learning management systems, eLearning authoring tools (Articulate suite preferred), and MS Office.
Advanced degree in Leadership Development, Instructional Design, Workplace Performance, or related field preferred.
Industry designation(s) and/or certification(s) from recognized professional training organizations helpful, including DiSC™, Hogan, 360 assessments, and/or coaching accreditation from ICF.
Ability to travel to Patra offices in India.
Insurance industry experience a plus.
