Job description

Arcutis is seeking an experienced Manager, Corporate Communications, with a background in healthcare or biotech to lead our PR initiatives and enhance our brand image across traditional and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in media relations, social media, internal communications, and investor relations, as well as excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of communication strategies.

This remote position will report to the Executive Director, Corporate Communications. The candidate must live in the continental United States and be able to travel up to 25% or as business needs require.


Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Develop and implement comprehensive communication and public relations strategies to promote our corporate brand, pipeline and brand portfolio. Manage agencies and other third-parties and ensure projects are on track and on budget.

Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets focused on healthcare and biotech. Prepare press releases, media kits, and other communications materials tailored to key audiences.

Collaborate with the finance team to develop investor communication strategies, including presentations, reports, and updates for stakeholders. Ensure consistent messaging that aligns with the company’s financial goals and performance.

Manage the corporate social media presence, including content creation, posting, and comment monitoring. Monitor trends and analytics to optimize performance in the healthcare space.

Develop engaging content for external and internal communications that reflect our brand voice and resonate with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and employees.

Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure employees are informed and engaged, including supporting all staff meetings, development of newsletters and announcements, and other materials that promote transparency and foster a positive workplace culture.

Measure, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of external and internal communications including media coverage, social media engagement and key performance indicators.  Provide regular reports on performance to senior management.

Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and product development, to ensure consistent messaging across all channels, with a particular focus on healthcare regulations and compliance.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experiences.

At least 5 years of experience in public relations, healthcare or biotech industry.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex information into simplified and impactful messaging

Strong understanding of media relations and experience working with journalists

Experience in investor relations and familiarity with financial communications

Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms and campaigns; experience in a regulated environment preferred

Experienced in development of creative content in various forms including video, written, PowerPoint, digital and social media assets. Proficiency in content development and social media tools and analytics platforms.

Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to work independently and own projects.

Strong interpersonal skills, able to work equally well with senior management or staff, and cross-functionally to produce results

Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
