The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Diabetes team is comprised of many different roles, with all one purpose – to provide great customer service to our new and current patients.
As a Customer Account Representative, you will focus on:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies.
- Supporting a wide variety of patients with Diabetes across the country.
- Working within a tight-knit team that rallies together to support one another, grow and learn together, and have fun!
Your Primary Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative. A CAR is typically responsible for:
- Supporting existing Aeroflow Diabetes patients who receive Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) supplies, as well as onboarding new patients based on direct leads.
- Handling a high-volume number of both incoming and outgoing phone calls daily to confirm customer information, product needs, and verify insurance eligibility.
- Researching insurance payer requirements, learning and understanding reimbursement procedures, account maintenance, answering basic billing questions, and troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Providing excellent customer service, working efficiently with high attention to detail, remaining organized, and participating as an engaged member of the team.
- Maintaining HIPAA/patient confidentiality.
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, preference given for college experience
- 3+ years’ experience in Customer Service or Healthcare preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to multitask – shifting between open applications as you speak with patients
- Ability to type 40+ words per minute with accuracy
You might also have, but not required:
- Knowledge with different types of insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
- DME supplies, specifically with CGM supplies
- Personal knowledge or experience with Diabetes
