  • Base Salary - $55,000-$65,000/year

Here’s what you can expect in the role as a Home Inspection Field Representative:

The Home Inspection Field Representative position exists to verify occupancy.

This position will primarily cover the panhandle, Southern GA, and East Alabama.

Job Duties:

  • Establishes contact with delinquent customers.
  • Determines condition of Mobile Homes and site-built homes.
  • Completes written condition reports.
  • Alters locks when necessary.
  • Winterizes homes when necessary.
  • Works cordially with Supervisors, Senior Account Representatives, and Account Representatives to solve delinquency problems.
  • Follows company guidelines, which include Fair and Ethical Collections Practices.
  • Exhausts all options to locate home and/or inspection address.
  • Verifies HUD # and Serial # on unoccupied homes and verifies status of the collateral unless instructions specify otherwise.
  • Takes good clear pictures of the collateral in good lighting.
  • Builds communication with customer/occupant to the office via phone call.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to qualify:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. College preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insured transportation.
    • Driver's license must match state residing in and in good standing.
  • Must always maintain insurance with acceptable levels of coverage.
  • Must be able to reserve and operate a monthly lease vehicle through Enterprise.
  • Must live in general area of job opening and be willing to travel extensively 2-4 overnight stays weekly.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all customers and levels of staffing inside the office and in the field.
  • Build a good rapport with Regional Remarketing Asset Managers.
  • Must have a clear understanding of collection and repossession procedures.
  • Must have great attention to detail, be self-motivated with good time management as well as being a team player.
  • Willingness and ability to complete assigned work efficiently.
  • Willing to learn, hard-working, determined, and assertive.
  • Ability to manage self-daily and optimize daily route to create more efficient work flow.

  • Must be able to drive 80% of every day, work outside, and drive-in all-weather conditions including heat, cold, rain and snow.
  • Travel (Occasionally Saturday workdays are required):
    • Standard Monthly Travel - 20+ days per month
    • Overnight travel 2-4 nights per week, territories may include multiple states
    • Travel may be required outside of assigned territory or state
    • Late nights – 2 late nights per week (April-Oct.) with at least two inspection attempts between 5 pm – 8 pm each late night
    • Ability to route and manage
  • Walking and Driving Conditions:
    • Terrain and weather conditions are unknown and may change
    • Uneven ground, steep, muddy, slippery, potholes, icy and/or snow covered
    • Vacant homes may not have steps or may require entry through a door or window
  • Daily routes can include high mileage and many stops.
  • Constantly operate a laptop and other office machinery, such as a cell phone, digital camera and download pictures, GPS, scanner, and printer.
  • Change door locks and winterize homes.
  • 50% communication methods face to face and 50% completed over the phone and via e-mail combined.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
  • Must have excellent communication skills when dealing with customers.
  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
