Business Developer & Sales Manager - Energy Transition

Veolia Energy & Process Solutions (VEPS) is seeking a Business Developer & Sales Manager to spearhead our growth in CO2 Capture and Hydrogen Conditioning across Europe. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of sustainable energy solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing our client portfolio in Energy Transition and Decarbonisation across Europe and the United Kingdom. You will identify and capitalise on high-potential business opportunities, drive growth in emerging fields such as carbon capture and hydrogen, and collaborate with our clients to expand our reach. Additionally, you will develop winning strategies, negotiate key contracts, and represent VEPS at major industry events.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the energy sector's challenges and opportunities. You will be at the forefront of innovation, working on challenging projects that contribute to a sustainable future.

What are the Day-to-Day Duties?

  • Develop and expand client portfolio in Energy Transition and Decarbonisation
  • Identify and pursue high-potential business opportunities
  • Drive growth in carbon capture and hydrogen conditioning activities
  • Develop winning strategies and offers for key contracts
  • Negotiate and secure strategic agreements with clients
  • Represent VEPS at major energy sector events
  • Collaborate with historical clients to expand service offerings
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions in energy transition

    This strategic role provides an opportunity to shape the future of water treatment in the European energy industry while working on challenging projects at the forefront of innovation.

    Qualifications

    What Skills and Experience Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

    • Engineering degree in chemical engineering, process engineering or equivalent (MBA appreciated), or industry experience
    • Extensive experience in the energy sector, including commercial or sales roles
    • In-depth expertise and established network in the Energy industry (Operators, EPCs, Consultants)
    • Comprehensive knowledge of energy transition challenges
    • Fluency in English AND French
    • Inspiring leadership and excellent communication skills
    • Strategic thinking and ability to develop winning business strategies
    • Willingness to travel regularly within Europe (1 to 2 days per week)
    • Proven track record in business development and sales
