Job Title: Carbon Portfolio Manager
Location: Boston, Washington DC (Remote considered) Should be in EST Time Zone
Reports to: Senior Manager, Sustainability
Duration: 6 months

About the Role
As a Carbon Portfolio Manager, you will join the Global Internal Sustainability Team and work on the critical task of reducing emissions and supporting the company's goal of achieving net-zero climate impact by 2030. You will focus on developing and enhancing Client's carbon portfolio, particularly in carbon removal solutions. This role requires strong business skills, a deep understanding of corporate climate action, and the ability to work in dynamic and uncertain situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of the strategy for Client's carbon removal portfolio.
  • Monitor carbon market evolutions (e.g. players, standards, policies, market conditions) and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Evolve the carbon portfolio sourcing process and negotiate partnerships and deals in line with Client's net-zero goals.
  • Conduct due diligence on a variety of carbon removal technologies by engaging with partners and internal experts.
  • Support internal and external communication of the carbon portfolio strategy.
  • Contribute to the overall enhancement of Client's net-zero strategy and budgeting from the carbon portfolio perspective.
  • Cultivate and identify opportunities to leverage portfolio partnerships into broader strategic partnerships.
  • Foster knowledge-sharing activities and build strong relationships with stakeholders in the voluntary carbon market ecosystem.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 4&plus; years of relevant work experience in climate finance, voluntary carbon markets, or carbon credit value chains.
  • Expertise in carbon programs or carbon removal technologies, including evaluating solutions for feasibility and scale.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Senior Director of Sustainability and collaborate with the Internal Sustainability Team, including Directors, Senior Managers, and Analysts. You will also engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders involved in carbon reduction initiatives.
