The ideal candidate can work an 8am - 5pm schedule in the Pacific Time Zone.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Process full-cycle payroll for a diverse client base using UKG Ready, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations
  • Ensure payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits, and other withholdings are accurately calculated and submitted
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for payroll issues, enhancing client satisfaction and retention
  • Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of support tickets
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and resolve any technical challenges

What you’ll need for this position:

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing
  • Proficiency in UKG Ready’s payroll module
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively handling client communications and explaining technical details clearly
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a commitment to meeting deadlines and client expectations
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing, ideally including California
  • Payroll certification (i.e. CPP or FPC)
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 - 30/hour.

Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
