Job description

Work Location: Remote position

The National Ancillary Service Manager is a critical member of Cigna’s National Ancillary EviCore Account Team. This role focuses on vendor account management, performance oversight, and driving process improvements across multiple segments, products, and lines of business. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, excels in communication and documentation, and can maneuver through complex challenges with minimal supervision.

The candidate must have broad and deep understanding of national ancillary programs and an end-to-end view of how those programs impact the enterprise and intercede when firewall/legal requirements prohibit EviCore direct access to Cigna's Systems and to our key stakeholders - provider, client and customers.  He/she will engage across our national ancillary segments, enterprise companies, lines of business and products and will act as a subject matter expertise and key driver of business process improvement initiatives.   He/she will provide on-going solutions and support on reoccurring service issues and trends and actively supports cross segment and line of business resolution of high priority/impact service escalations.     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations with national ancillary vendors, ensuring strong performance and alignment with Cigna’s goals.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Cigna and external vendors, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Lead business process improvements, handle escalations, and support the execution of the account team strategy.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery and achieve total medical cost savings.

  • Provide coaching to staff and act as a subject matter expert on vendor programs and services.

  • Monitor vendor performance through reports and dashboards, addressing any operational issues or service gaps.

  • Support strategic projects, including vendor program enhancements, system implementations, and national expansions or terminations.

 

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in benefits administration, claims management, or project management

  • Working knowledge of Utilization management platforms (Truecare, HC-ICMS, Evicore)

  • Experience with Vendor Management

  • Relationship Management experience

  • Project management experience, preferred

  • Expertise in national ancillary programs and Cigna’s products, systems, and business lines

  • Strong organizational agility, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve complex service issues and conflict management

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage tasks independently and deliver impactful results in a matrixed environment

  • Some travel required

 

 


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72,900 - 121,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
