Job description

Location: US, Remote
Duration: 6-12 months
About Us:

We work at the cutting edge of accurate digital twin simulation for AI, smart systems, and robotics. Imagine — Fortnite but with robots and humans! With Falcon, Duality’s digital twin simulation platform, users build physically and visually accurate 3D worlds where autonomous robots and human participants can engage in real time, producing high fidelity perception and interaction data. Our customers leverage Falcon to train and test off-road autonomous machines, deploy robotic fleets in modern logistics environments, and even safely and economically explore the potential of generative AI in our physical world. Today’s leading robotics, AI, and autonomy teams trust Falcon to help them develop safe, predictable, and resilient intelligent systems.

Headquartered in San Mateo, California, Duality is a global company with locations across the US, Italy and India.

Opportunity:

Are you passionate about robotics and simulation technology? Duality is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity for aspiring Simulation Engineers. Join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team and embark on a journey focused on learning, growth, and skill development in the cutting-edge field of digital twin simulation.

As an apprentice, you will collaborate closely with robotics engineers, artists, and game developers to develop and enhance simulation and visualization tools that are essential for our clients. You will utilize FalconEditor, our powerful integrated development environment (IDE), to create simulations and 3D environments that meet customer goals and showcase product capabilities. This role will involve integrating robotics algorithms into high-fidelity simulations, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.

Throughout the program, you will gain hands-on experience in both Windows and Linux environments while exploring computer vision concepts such as object detection, segmentation, and pose estimation. You will also have the opportunity to craft immersive 3D environments using FalconEditor’s intuitive interface, which streamlines the creation and manipulation of digital twins.

This apprenticeship is designed to provide valuable mentorship and practical experience while fostering collaboration across disciplines. You will build a strong foundation for a successful career in robotics and simulation technology. If you're ready to dive into this exciting field and contribute to innovative projects alongside talented professionals, we want to hear from you!
