The Role
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager with strong coordination and collaboration skills to partner with Engineering teams, Data Science, peer Technical Program Managers and Senior Leadership to drive, execute, track and deliver high impact strategic programs in the Live space. An ideal candidate would be someone who can connect the dots and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Scope of the Role
Drive large cross functional programs in collaboration with Engineering, Product and Data Science.
Provide deep domain expertise to form technical strategies with engineering partners.
Drive engagement with internal partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with measurable milestones, effectively optimize scope and schedule, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively manage risks.
Craft clear communication of progress toward goals, reporting status to stakeholders and leadership.
Desired Technical Skills
Systems design, and architecture experience.
Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and see various perspectives.
Able to provide insights into business, product, and technology tradeoffs.
Great at adapting solutions to meet short and longer-term needs.
6+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager or Software Engineer.
Desired Project Management Skills
Can devise and apply various approaches to the execution of complex initiatives.
Coordination across many independent tracks of work.
Risk identification and mitigation.
Can balance strategic and tactical efforts to identify tradeoffs and the decision framework.
Detail-oriented, can identify what’s missing in planning and execution of software development, testing, and launch.
Location of work
Our organization has a distributed team across the US. We are considering both candidates who are willing to relocate to Los Gatos, California, and fully remote candidates within the PacificTime zone. The expectation is that candidates will work during core pacific standard time business hours.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
