Job Description

As a Bookkeeper in this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead a comprehensive financial overhaul, transitioning from QuickBooks desktop to online while implementing structured processes for enhanced efficiency. You’ll be instrumental in bringing order to the company’s financial landscape, establishing clear reporting systems, and setting the foundation for sustainable growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, directly influencing the company’s financial health and operational success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition from QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks online, ensuring data integrity and system optimization
  • Manage Basic Payroll via a payroll app
  • Organize and manage company books, implementing best practices for financial record-keeping
  • Streamline accounts payable and receivable processes for improved cash flow management
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial records
  • Create comprehensive monthly P&Ls and execute timely month-end closes
  • Develop and implement efficient billing processes and payment systems
  • Establish a structured financial reporting system to provide clear insights into company performance
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to manage company accounts effectively
  • Contribute to financial strategy discussions, offering insights based on financial data analysis


Requirements


  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks, with hands-on experience in both desktop and online versions
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to manage complex financial data
  • Demonstrated experience in restructuring and optimizing disorganized financial systems
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting financial reports, with a focus on P&Ls and cash flow statements
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work US business hours (Eastern Time Zone)
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or financial management roles
