About the Role: 

The Sales Development Manager will lead, coach, and grow our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to drive revenue growth across North America. As a key part of the sales organization, this role will develop and execute strategies to maximize pipeline generation, mentor SDRs to reach their full potential, and foster a high-performance culture. Partnering closely with the SVP of North American Sales, you will play a crucial role in achieving project44’s revenue goals and expanding our market presence. 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing SDR team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture. 
  • Pipeline Generation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to increase pipeline generation, including lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and targeted campaigns. 
  • Performance Tracking: Set, track, and analyze SDR performance metrics, providing regular coaching to help the team meet or exceed individual and team goals. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to ensure alignment on goals, target accounts, and lead generation initiatives. 
  • Sales Tools & Process Optimization: Optimize SDR processes, leveraging tools (e.g., CRM, sales engagement platforms) to streamline operations and improve efficiency. 

Requirements & Skills: 

  • Experience: 5+ years in a sales or sales development role, with 2+ years of experience managing SDR or inside sales teams, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS company. 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in coaching and developing sales teams to achieve ambitious targets. 
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and implement strategies for pipeline growth and lead generation, balancing short-term goals with long-term success. 
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft) to track metrics and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. 
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. 

What to Expect in the First 90 Days: 

In your first 90 days, you’ll work closely with the SVP of North American Sales and other leaders to understand project44’s sales strategies, identify key areas of improvement, and start building a playbook for SDR success. You’ll focus on assessing the current team, setting performance standards, and aligning SDR goals with broader sales targets.
