Job description

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering the technology strategy, while actively mentoring a growing team of engineers, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives. As CTO, you’ll be at the forefront of Novisto’s mission to innovate and lead within our industry, using technology to create long-lasting, impactful solutions for our customers and driving the company’s continued growth and success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's overall technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with the executive team and department heads to deliver on the technology roadmap.
  • Remain hands-on, driving technical innovation and leading the development and architecture of Novisto’s technology platform.
  • Oversee system design, architecture, and scaling strategies to ensure optimal platform performance.
  • Partner with the Product department to assess the technical feasibility, timelines, and resources required for new features.
  • Ensure that the technology vision and architecture enables  the delivery of innovative features and solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, timely releases.
  • Collaborate on prioritizing product initiatives, making strategic decisions about where to allocate engineering resources to ensure deliverables while managing technical debt.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing, diverse technology department, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive career development, provide constructive feedback, and ensure teams have the tools and skills needed to succeed.
  • Implement, track, analyze and monitor performance metrics. 
  • Lead the evolution of our technical stack, ensuring it remains scalable and agile.
  • Create a positive, transparent work environment that aligns with the company’s culture and values.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 10 years experience in leading best-in-class engineering teams. 
  • Proven experience as a VP of Engineering or Chief Technology Officer in a fast-paced, SaaS  company.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of full-stack development, system architecture, and emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with coding, software development, and leading engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with scaling products and infrastructure, particularly in a high-growth environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and applying best practices in software development.
  • A strategic thinker who is also highly detail-oriented, with the ability to drive long-term technology planning and short-term execution.
