You are a strategic and dynamic seasoned compensation professional eager to shape the long-term vision for a North America-wide compensation function. With a proven track record of driving alignment across the Total Rewards landscape, you excel in collaborating effectively with leadership. In this role, you will…

  • Develop strategic and operational compensation programs (variable compensation designs, bonus programs, and long-term incentive programs) across North America including cost implications of current and proposed plans while ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.

  • Drive the annual review process of our Compensation program with senior leadership and develop ongoing mechanisms to maintain oversight, compliance, and financial governance of our critical programs.

  • Lead job architecture design and implementation of job families/profiles, salary grades and effective market pricing strategies to drive proactive competitive base pay practices.

  • Direct the annual compensation review and bonus process for the North American region.

  • Develop competitive short- and long-term incentive recommendations to incorporate into overall talent acquisition and retention strategies.

  • Provide leadership and direction around participation in market data initiatives and competitive benchmarking as required. 

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of experience in the Compensation function with at least 3 years in a director capacity with experience managing remote employees. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or other related field.

  • Excellent knowledge of US and Canadian Federal and State/Provincial compliance and legal requirements as they pertain to compensation and benefits programs. 

  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans. 

  • Proven ability to build relationships and leverage strong collaboration skills with business partners, senior leadership, and external vendors. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Experience in the development, delivery and rollout of significant compensation programs or projects.

  • Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with superior Excel skills. 

  • Completion of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) would be an asset.

Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $180,000/year - $200,000/year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all United States locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Benefits

Employees (and their families) are provided options for employer subsidized medical benefits including RX, dental, vision as well as employer paid basic life/AD&D insurance and short-term / long-term disability. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15-days vacation annually.  Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off.  Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year.  Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment. Individuals may be eligible for different or additional benefits under applicable state law.

Bonus

This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
