Role overview

The Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for the design, architecture and development of a rule based engine and configuration/administration system for helping platform support multiple customers and their custom requirements. The Manager will have the ability to drive the entire featureset end to end from creating an experience for business and clinical rules creation to building the event driven service to model health care rules (both clinical, financial and behavioral) to back end storage to efficiently manage and maintain a scalable service and experience.

 A day in the life…

  • Work with Product Management to define the scope and requirements

  • Effective Design, Architect and plan the delivery of the proposed scope

  • Hire and build a team to deliver the product

  • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time with high quality for team and as an individual.

  • Effectively communicate the status, manage expectations for the stake holders, demonstrates creative, technical, and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.

What we are looking for…

  • Experience in designing, architecting, and developing scalable web applications, including micro services and storage

  • 5-8 years of experience in building web services, REST APIs, and general back end development experience is required with at least 1 year leadership experience

  • Solid understanding of Rules based engines/system.

  • Solid understanding of full stack web development on Open Source Technologies and Java, ReactJS, distributed database technologies such as RDS, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora etc. on AWS

  • Previous background on SQL Server and on Machine Learning tooling is a definite plus.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience in building and working in a highly agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible Desire and willingness to work in an Agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment

  • Strong foundation on Modern DevOps culture

  • Experience in Healthcare especially with HIPPA compliance system is preference

  • Experience in BPM (Business Process Management) systems such as Drools, PegaSystems, InRule, SAS, or similar.

  • An excellent leader with a “can-do” attitude

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, methodical & inquisitive

  • A motivated self-starter with a solid level of experience that quickly grasps complex challenges

  • A skillful communicator with experience working with technical management teams
