Job Overview

We invite you to become an integral part of our team as a Simulation Operations Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and facilitate simulation events for the esteemed Medical College of Georgia. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the seamless and effective delivery of educational simulations, addressing both technological and pedagogical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot various audiovisual hardware and software.
  • Set up and manage AV equipment for diverse events, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide technical assistance and maintain audiovisual systems.
  • Support instructional media and equipment usage for educational simulations.
  • Conduct pre-briefings and orientations for learners, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist with examinations and assessments, ensuring a streamlined educational experience.
  • Serve as an internal consultant for the integration of simulation technologies into the curriculum.
  • Manage IT equipment setup, operation, and inventory.
  • Ensure connectivity between regional campus sites for statewide simulation activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and maintain IT equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate statewide simulation initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure the security of consumables and equipment.
  • Keep preparation and storage areas compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to program administration and reporting.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain simulators and other simulation technology.
  • Provide support for both in-person and remote simulation technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to address current and future simulation technology needs.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned to enhance the simulation program.

Required Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and judgment capabilities, with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software/databases.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and adhere to cybersecurity and privacy protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in simulation, healthcare, technology, or a related field.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, with the potential for occasional work beyond normal business hours.
  • Salary: \(48,800 - \)55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
