Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site project management activities for construction initiatives.
  • Lead project teams to guarantee adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders on preconstruction tasks, including entitlements, permitting, contractor onboarding, and long-lead purchasing.
  • Manage the bid process, including qualifications and selection recommendations for contractors and vendors.
  • Confirm permitting requirements to facilitate timely project commencement in line with the pipeline plan.
  • Communicate project-related matters with senior management as necessary.
  • Review construction documentation, such as drawings, schedules, and scopes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage project activities in the field, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Proactively manage change orders and maintain comprehensive records of project progress.
  • Provide weekly updates on project milestones while addressing any cost, schedule, safety, or quality issues.
  • Represent the organization in project meetings and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to foster future collaboration.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management capabilities in construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and contracts.
  • Expertise in budgeting and cost management.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems and cooking equipment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail construction project management, preferably in grocery, supermarkets, retail, or QSR sectors.
  • Previous experience with multi-site rollout projects is highly desirable.
