You will engage closely with key stakeholders, oversee cross-functional teams, and play an instrumental role in achieving project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Design & Planning: Direct the design, planning, and coordination of diverse teams in alignment with established project management practices such as the PMI framework. Collaborate with project sponsors to comprehend both business and technical objectives, translating these into actionable strategies.
  • Project Execution: Formulate comprehensive project charters and work plans, diligently tracking budget and schedule performance. Manage project scope, establish organizational structures, and define responsibilities to ensure clarity and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk & Change Management: Recognize and document potential risks, devise mitigation strategies, and proactively manage scope alterations to remain aligned with project goals.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep stakeholders and project sponsors updated. Facilitate transparent communication among team members to ensure timely tracking and resolution of issues.
  • Team Leadership: Cultivate and motivate a high-performing project team, assigning tasks and evaluating outcomes to promote a culture of accountability and collaboration. Negotiate for resources as necessary and ensure team members receive the required support.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical direction to team members, particularly regarding complex application features and design specifications, to guarantee the delivery of superior solutions.
  • Performance & Quality Control: Establish a robust framework for managing project tasks, schedules, and deliverables. Uphold high standards for quality, productivity, and consistency, implementing corrective measures where performance falls short.
  • Reporting & Progress Monitoring: Generate regular reports for senior management, summarizing project status, emphasizing accomplishments, and addressing any challenges.

  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Demonstrated success in coordinating with other project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and project functionality.
  • Local Presence: Applicants must be based in the Lansing, Michigan area, with a requirement of in-office presence 2 days a week, and the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
