Job Title: Member Services Representative - Remote | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time position is vital in delivering outstanding service to our members, both in person and through various communication channels. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our members, providing them with comprehensive assistance regarding our credit union’s diverse offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional support to members, facilitating their access to services and information in a professional manner.
  • Accurately process a variety of member transactions, including but not limited to loan payments, share transfers, and withdrawals.
  • Offer detailed insights into the credit union’s products and policies to enhance members’ understanding.
  • Address inquiries received via email and electronic communications with professionalism and precision.
  • Resolve member concerns, routing complex issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Promote relevant credit union services to meet the distinct needs of our members.
  • Handle and process member mail transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Supply members with information on potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct account research to clarify any discrepancies in transactions.
  • Aid members in managing their accounts, including payroll deduction and direct deposit card setups.
  • Assist in establishing individual retirement accounts for members.
  • Keep current with the credit union’s offerings, policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel; familiarity with credit union systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability in cash handling and maintaining accurate balances.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of experience in member or customer service, ideally within a financial institution, such as a credit union.
  • Understanding of account management and service delivery in a financial context.
