Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining relationships and driving business with accounts in open territories in alignment with company plans and objectives. Maintain/Foster/Develop excellent customer relationships within open territories. Professional, credible and comfortable at all times dealing with optometrists, ophthalmologists, technicians, office administrators, retail store managers and store staff, authorized distributor sales representatives and any other customers that you come into contact with.

Responsibilities

  • Execute outbound calling strategy based on direction of appropriate Regional Sales Manager or in alignment with our open territory account strategy
  • Dedicated to meeting customer needs quickly and accurately. Return customer phone and email inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Professionally handle inbound calls providing First Call Resolution by promptly addressing the caller’s reason for calling and resolving their concerns.
  • Maintain technical proficiency with CVI products and competitive products
  • Educates customer about new products or additional products and services we offer.
  • Use of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at intermediate level
  • Daily use of CRM tool and reports to analyze product, account sales and overall territory performance
  • Be able to discuss and answer basic questions about CVI suite of technology and value-added products and services to customer office;
  • Partner with accounts by articulating CARP, Amplif-eye, and other promotional tools to help Open Territory Accounts achieve their practice financial goals
  • Act as an ambassador for CooperVision, supporting Company Mission, Purpose, Promise and Values

  • Knowledge of and experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • PC literate, above average keyboarding skills.
  • Able to prioritize and work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment with the ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • Ability to read and understand technical material such as SOP’s, Product Parameters and Specifications.
  • Must maintain knowledge of all marketing promotions, special orders, products, prices, accessories and literature, shipment and availability of product, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to SF.com order placement process and service level agreement.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to learn new programs, products and processes when implemented.
  • Knowledge of an ability to collaborate when necessary with other internal or external departments.
  • Ability to understand, apply and explain company policies and procedures, and promotions.
  • Has an interest and takes responsibility to build current skill set and gain knowledge.
  • Ability to learn and take on additional responsibilities; complete other projects as assigned.
  • Interpersonal skills: This position will interact with many different internal stakeholders at different levels throughout the organization. Creating and maintaining positive relationships is an essential part of this role including and maintaining themselves in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
  • Listening and Communication skills: must possess active listening skills and be engaged when communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.


Work Environment:

  • Professional office environment in line with corporate office standards
  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer with extensive typing required
  • Inbound/Outbound Phone activities from/to accounts and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to account emails in open territory accounts /house accounts


Experience:

  • Minimum one year of sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the optical industry is beneficial.
  • CVI experience is beneficial
  • Extensive experience in sales support or customer service could override sales requirement.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Consideration given to candidates with sales experience.
  • Extensive CVI experience in Customer Service/Sales Support will also be considered.
